PERSISTENCE SERIES

This series looks at how memory of a place can exist within buildings long after they cease to be used for their original task. I have photographed two buildings in this series so far. One is an old spring factory in Holloway ( now demolished) the other, shown here is the old Queen Elizabeth Children’s Hospital on Hackney Road, East London. Abandoned for !0 years it is in a state of great decay and will shortly be pulled down to make way for more new flats, but even in it’s present state it still has the dignity of the building as it once was.
